great product

I bought this item for my wife who has arthritis in her hands. It requires two hands to operate, but it is phenomenal. Uses standard AA batteries which seem to last a long time. One hand needs to hole the larger part of the bottle to keep it from twisting while the other hand holds the cork screw drill and pushes the button. When done, you simply use the reverse button and the cork unscrews out of the tool. We have had this about a year and we love it.
love it!

I was looking for an opener that uses batteries instead of a charging station so I could minimize the clutter on my kitchen counter. This one works great! It’s actually my second one because I took the first one on vacation and accidentally left it behind. I ordered another as soon as I got home because I couldn’t use another opener after having the best.
BEST WINE OPENER

This is the EASIEST wine opener EVER! The BEST part is it is battery operated, so no ugly charger on the counter. I have opened at LEAST 30 bottles on the same batteries & it’s still going strong!
The best of cork pullers

I have purchased cork pullers over the years and find that they all have some flaws. The rechargeable puller works well, but the battery gives out after a few charges and must be discarded. This unit with replaceable AA batteries cures this flaw. Cork pulling and extracting the cork from the unit works well.
Killer corkscrew

Bought this for my wife and she’s thrilled (so am I). Unit takes 4 AA batteries and has enough torque to pull out even very tight corks. Attractive and well designed. I don’t have an idea of how many corks can be pulled with a set of batteries but if I can remember I’ll update this review when I’ve used this for a while.
As others have mentioned it requires 2 hands to use this unit. One hand to keep the bottle from turning and a 2nd hand to apply the corkscrew. Other than requiring 2 hands this thing is about as easy as it gets. Essentially the process is as follows:
1) Remove foil from top of bottle using supplied tool (which also acts as holder for unit).
2) Apply unit to top of bottle press down firmly
3) With 1 hand holding bottle use 2nd hand to press bottom of button
4) You will hear unit extracting cork. Keep button pressed until unit stops.
5) Remove unit from bottle. Cork will now be within unit.
6) Press top button on unit and cork will spit out the bottom of unit.
At this point I’d recommend this product without hesitation.
Works good!

Make sure you use good batteries, I was out and ran to the dollar store, and it only worked going down. The next day I bought Duracell batteries and it works like a charm!

After owning several of these as gifts, I was always disappointed with the overal performance of them. This model (with its own Batteries) has the power to open the tightest corks. Even my wife is content with it. Great satisfaction with this model!!
